Live MWD systems
DDR System

-
Electronic drilling recorder measuring important drilling parameters in real-time.
-
Data are shared via cellular connection to clients' head office.
-
Allows resource company to monitor drilling activity and geological data in real-time.
-
Real time geology models can be updated as the well is drilled.
-
Rig status, GPS location, and drilling performance can be monitored and best practices can be determined.

Dynamic Drilling Recorder (DDR) System
Includes a common DDR surface unit, a depth measuring device, and a DDR sub. Allows for real-time measuring and recording of:
From surface:
-
Depth
-
Rate of penetration
-
Rig orientation & mast angle
-
GPS latitude, longitude and elevation of rig
-
Weight on bit
-
Drill string weight
-
RPM of drill string
-
Torque at surface on drill string
-
Pump pressure and down going air temperature
-
Shock and vibration of drill string sampled at 500 Hz
DDR System Features

• DDR System runs off rig power.
• Internal batteries are charged during the day, and are used to charge the DDR and MWD (PF) overnight.
• If cell coverage is lost, data is stored on hard drive and uploaded to head office once cell connection is established.
