Title: Design Engineer Geovista develop, manufacture and supply borehole geophysical logging and surveying systems, including borehole loggers, logging winches and geophysical logging probes, directional surveys (magnetometer and gyro based), down hole geophone (for VSP) and micro-seismic (for P & S Velocities), down hole imaging and well inspection cameras. We require an experienced analogue and digital design engineer to join our small product development team in advancing our product portfolio and adding value. New side loading Slim Density tool

Geovista have launched a new side loading slim density tool as an alternative to our traditional bottom only trisonde. This slim tool has the advantage of being 46mm in diameter and suitable for smaller holes. Further to the traditional trisonde where the source is loaded at the bottom of the tool, this tool provides the option of loading the source from the side allowing other tools to be connected below making it fully stack-able with other Geovista tools. Custom made Camera Trolley System

Geovista have just completed a bespoke solution for carrying our dual view camera in inclined wells. The trolley system has been developed for our client to acquire full down-hole and 360 degree side view colour video feed throughout four different borehole diameters drilled at an incline. The camera also includes an inclinometer and magnetic compass to provide the client with real time inclination and orientation of the video. This is used to examine the internals of the drilled hole and to plan any further remediation work before moving forward in the well construction plan. The GeoVista down-hole monitoring Geophone

GeoVista have recently released a tri-axial, down-hole geophone sensor. Working together with the interest of our clients, the monitoring geophones can be used for long term seismic recording in shallow wells. A three axis geophone is lowered into a shallow well and analogue measurements are measured over time. These geophones are generally deployed as part of a field array of geophones connected to a central database for long term monitoring. The probe can come with a bow spring to couple the sensor to the side of the bore-hole wall. The geophone can be left in the well, cemented over or kept to be used when needed.
